A popular Bovey Tracey restaurant has gone on the market.
De-Tracey' Restaurant and Bar is located in the heart of pretty Bovey Tracey, on the edge of Dartmoor, Devon.
Bovey Tracey is a small cob and granite-built Dartmoor market town, known as the 'Gateway to Dartmoor' due to its location at the eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park.
De-Tracey's occupies one of the town's most distinctive buildings, an impressive three-storey, Grade II Listed property built in 1895 as the local Conservative Club.
Located at 56 Fore Street, in the centre of the town, De-Tracey's comprises a large bar to seat more than 40 customers, a 40-cover restaurant and commercial kitchen on the first floor and owner's accommodation on the second floor.
Proprietors Stuart and Lorraine Goodman have operated De-Tracey's Restaurant and Bar since December 2006, offering a classic and contemporary dining experience and providing a popular venue for private functions, entertainment and live music events.
The couple have now decided to sell the lease in order to pursue other interests.
David Reeves, of restaurant agents Christie and Co, said: "De-Tracey's has established an excellent reputation locally with a loyal client base, offering a comfortable bar area serving bar meals and drinks and a more formal dining experience in the restaurant.
"The business is still very much in its infancy and offers potential for new owners to further develop the trade and turnover."
Christie and Co is seeking £149,950 for the leasehold interest in De-Tracey's Restaurant and Bar.
The business is held on a 21-year lease with 19 years remaining. The current annual rent is £20,000.
